Mayfield Church of England Primary School

Friends of Mayfield CE Primary School is made up of parents, carers, teachers and friends. We are a registered charity who aim to raise funds to support the learning experiences of the children at Mayfield CE Primary School and to strengthen our community. The chair works closely with the Head of School and Executive Headteacher to ascertain projects and wishlists that we can support.

How Do We Raise Funds?

We undertake a range of fundraising activities throughout the school year. Our Summer and Christmas Fair account for a large proportion of our income, along with other events such as: movie nights, discos, car washes, jumble sales and our 100 Club. Whilst we have some regular events, new fundraising ideas are always very welcome.

What do we spend the money on?

The PTFA have funded a number of recent projects including:

  • Library refurbishment and wall art to help foster a love of reading
  • A number of classroom Clevertouch boards to support whole class teaching
  • Funding transport for a whole school visit to see a pantomime at a local theatre
  • Playground equipment
  • Art resources

How Can I Get Involved?

Everyone is welcome to get involved and come along to our regular meetings. We are always grateful for the time that you are able to give; whether this is becoming a Class Representative, volunteering at any of our events or taking a role on the committee – your help makes a positive difference for the children of our school.
